I'm currently teaching students of all ages and abilities who are excited to learn and share their talents at every opportunity.

Current Lesson Schedule

I am thrilled to be teaching in the Kansas City area. At present, I am no longer accepting new students for piano lessons, though a wait list is available.

I currently teach weekly lessons in my own home most weekdays. Please feel free to contact me for schedule availability (contact information may be found at the bottom of the page). More information about typical lessons and books can be found below.

Piano Lesson Overview

I am currently accepting students of any age and ability level for private piano lessons in my home, located in the Northland of Kansas City. For most beginning to intermediate students, I recommend a 30-minute lesson every week, supplemented with at least five days of independent practice during the week. During a typical 30-minute lesson, students will learn elements of piano technique, music theory, and fundamentals of performance. Family discounts are available for multiple consecutive lessons. We will generally work on 4-6 pieces to be practiced during the week. Students will be expected to practice based on the individual goals we will determine together.

Lesson rates are as follows:

In my home
 30 minutes: $15
60 minutes (two consecutive lessons): $25

(Each additional 30 minutes: add $10)

I usually teach from lesson books published by Bastien, Faber, or Alfred, or I can accommodate your preference of publisher or teach from books you already have. If you do not already have books you would like to use, let me know and I can purchase them for you at a teacher's discount of 10% and have them ready for you by the first lesson.

I am also available as an accompanist for vocal or instrumental rehearsal or performance. Rates available upon request.
